| Fusion Operations |
 |
The focus of these classes is to develop and refine fusion skills on McElroy Fusion Machines. These classes will teach the proper fusion techniques as set by ASTM standard F2620 and PPI technical reports TR-33 and TR-41
Each class is approximately 30% classroom instruction and 70% hands-on application. McElroy instructors will observe, assist, and document all fusions completed by the students.
Upon successful completion of each class, students will receive a Fusion Operations training certificate.
In addition to the training, students will also participate in a qualification testing session unique to each class. The testing consists of both written and hands-on portions presented on a pass/fail basis. Students who successfully complete the testing will receive an additional certificate and wallet card showing their status as a Factory Qualified Fusion Operator. Qualification status can serve as a competitive advantage on the job site, lasts for a period of two years, and can be renews with follow-up testing. Testing results for any specific student can be provided to their employer upon request.

McElroy University recognizes that sometimes the best training experience is one in which students are able to participate in real-world, hands-on activities. As such, for all of our troubleshooting & rebuild schools, we make every effort to give students the opportunity to work on equipment that has been brought to our facility, straight from the field that is in need of maintenance. This provides our students with experience on the kinds of issues they may encounter in the field and first hand direction how to deal with them quickly and efficiently.
Upon successful completion of the training, the student will be given a McElroy Troubleshooting & Rebuild training certificate. |
